Visiting Angels is the result of our owner’s desire to provide the elderly of our communities the choice to stay in their homes as long as appropriate. When we opened in 2002, this type of service was somewhat new to the community and many people didn’t realize this option was available. Our first “office” was a garage near Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora.

Within six months, we were able to provide dozens of people with caregivers in their homes. Our first clients came to us through our relationships with APU, the local churches, and our personal networks. Once we had a client base, we were able to move into a small suite in our current building, and then to our current location in December of 2003. We opened our second office in Upland in April of 2007. Over the past several years, not only have we been able to help hundreds of families, but we’ve created hundreds of local jobs. We are humbled and honored to know we’ve made a difference in our communities.

Prior to Visiting Angels, our owner had a rich family heritage in the Pomona and San Gabriel Valleys. As a graduate of Alta Loma High School ('82), Azusa Pacific University (B.S. '86), and Claremont Graduate University (M.A.M. '01), Lindsey (aka Lisa) is a third generation citizen of this area. Her maternal grandparents moved to Claremont in the 1940’s. Her father taught at Pomona High School for 30 years. The foothill communities are very dear to her and she is pleased to have the opportunity to serve our neighborhoods.
